Eliza, a senior at the University of Miami, is pursuing a degree in Marine Affairs and Ecosystem Science & Policy, with minors in Sustainable Business and Classics. Her extensive knowledge of both marine and terrestrial ecosystems emphasizes the need for human stewardship to preserve the balance between anthropogenic demand and natural systems. As the founder and vice president of the university’s environmental honors society, she has recognized the significance of fostering a community to promote environmental problem-solving and advocacy. Eliza seeks opportunities to promote sustainable practices both on and off-campus, aiming to apply her understanding of the natural world to real-world situations.
